Four seasoned musicians, one passion, one tribute to the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan playing blues-based rock and blues in a similar style as SRV. We play several Double Trouble songs, originals music and more for every show.
All the members of Cold Shot have played in various bands throughout the years and have decided to come together for one vision, one heart, one passion.
Danny J. began learning to play guitar at the age of 10 in Chicago. Later, when his family moved to Alabama, he honed his skills playing the southern rock and blues from that area. He has played with various bands and venues across the globe from Chicago, Huntsville, England, Alaska, Texas, and Colorado. Danny J. has been a fan of SRV since the early '80's and that's when he began stealing at lot of the SRV chops and style. Even when not playing Double Trouble's music you will almost always hear the SRV, Albert King, and Freddie King influence as it's just part of his being.
Terry is the newest member of the band. He comes from the midwest where a lot of famous bands came from. He recently played with a Johnny Cash tribute band. We are fortunate to have him laying down some Tommy Shannon style low end.
Karl has been pounding the drums for several years. He has played with several seasoned bands as part of the local Denver music scene.
Bill started lessons at 8 years old in El Paso Texas. In high school his mother was displeased to see him take piano from classical to Jerry Lee Lewis. Played in bands in El paso, then San Diego and now in Denver. The latest transition is SRV. Rock on!
